So I totally met The Osmond Family this morning! I went to Utah with my friends to go to their final performance from their 50th reunion tour at the Conference Center in SLC. We had decent seats, sitting in the Terrace and off to the right. It was a really great concert, they combined with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and it was beautiful. They were there commemorating the Pioneer Day Celebration (a Utah holiday).
Well the next morning (today) the Osmonds were going to be performing for Music and the Spoken Word. My friend Lisa and her hubby Joel are who I went with and her dad is head of productions so he is there early every Sunday morning. Well we went to go meet up with him because we had Joel and Lisa's little boy Cole with us and babies aren't allowed in during the taping because if they make any noise the mics pick it up. So we were escorted by an usher to the front of the conference center, and Ed (Lisa's dad) grabbed Cole and said "follow me". So we followed him and next thing we knew he led us backstage and behind this little black curtain and there were Merrill, and Alan waiting in the wings. (Alan was in his scooter because of the MS.) Then around the next corner we went into an enclosed area and there were Jimmy, Wayne and Jay! They were super nice! Jimmy especially. After we were introduced and visited for just a few moments (show time was only like 10 minutes away) we were led around the next corner to meet Marie! She is gorgeous! She played with Cole for a couple seconds and then we got to meet her. But alas Donny wasn't there at the moment to meet him! :(
So Ed took Cole and headed to the control room, and we were ushered back out front, we walked on stage, everyone was standing because at that same moment Presidents Monson and Eyring were being led in. So we were quickly seated about 2 minutes before showtime about 6 chairs away from President Monson!
It was so much fun! The concert was great, and of course I didn't have my camera. I took a couple on my phone, but there wouldn't have been enough time for pictures back stage anyway.
Thank you Joel and Lisa for a great weekend!

Playing with the design
If any of you have checked my blog in the last couple of days you will notice that the colors and style keeps changing. I am just experimenting with different things to see what I like and spruce it up a bit. Tell me what you think! Especially if you have any trouble reading it! lol

4th of July
Hi everyone. Thought I would let you know how my weekend away went. I don't have pictures yet because I was focused on Chloe so I wasn't able to take out my camera, but I will get some from Dave when he has time.
Chloe and I left early Thursday morning and met up with Dave's sister Kim in Burley. We then drove the rest of the way to Lewiston, Idaho, with a stop for lunch and a stop to meet up with Dave's brother Gary. Chloe did really well on the drive. She was happy most of the drive and had a good time. We arrived at 5 at Dave's parents. We had dinner and Chloe played with the nieces and nephews. Things were going really well.
Dave didn't arrive until around 1 am. (Yes I met the family without him there.) Chloe woke up at 2 am, and was awake for a little while. She had a really long day after that. I think the majority of it was from being off schedule, and at a strange place. We went to a parade that the church put on an Chloe walked behind the tractor full of "PaPa's" (Dave's dad) grandkids, she didn't want to ride, I actually carried her while she waved her flag. We then had breakfast at the church. Chloe was pretty onry by then because it was past her naptime, our time. Without a nap Chloe ended up being really grouchy most of the day and then while everyone ate dinner and celebrated PaPa's birthday Chloe and I walked. Dave came out after he ate and helped out, and after we found a stroller Chloe was asleep by 8 pm. So yes she missed the fireworks that night.
Saturday morning she woke up early and was feeling a little bit sick from constipation. I went to the store and picked up some stuff to help her and once she was able to relieve herself she felt better, so we went fishing with the guys and kids, while the women went shopping. I would have gone with the women but was worried Chloe wouldn't handle being with the guys well even as much as he likes Dave. Chloe had fun watching then got to try her hand a fishing and CAUGHT ONE! She thought that was pretty great.
After that we went home and fed the kids, then they were supposed to nap. Chloe of course didn't, so after a failed attempt to drive her to sleep I just brought her back and she played quietly while the boys ( I call them boys but they are all older than me) and i played on the Nintendo Wii. That was a lot of fun and his family is pretty fun and crazy too.
When the ladies got home we took the kids to the Aquatic center for swimming. Chloe is a water baby and LOVED it! There was a wave pool and a lazy river. Chloe and I did both and she laughed and giggled the whole time. One time when we went to get back in the lazy river I told Chloe to wait while mommy jumped in then I would get her, well she didn't let go of my hand and jumped with me. Luckily I still had her hand, but she went all the way under and came up with a shocked look on her face. She laughed though. I thought it was really cute at one point she kept trying to get Dave's attention so she could say "I love you Dave!". Not sure how he felt about that.
That night after the kids were in bed, the adults other than grandma and grandpa went bowling and snipe hunting. That was a lot of fun to be around a good group of people and laugh and joke around. They are really great and i felt pretty comfortable with all of them. Chloe and I left the next morning and drove to Utah for custody exchange. I was tired, but happy.
So things with Dave are going well. They are moving at a nice slow pace, which is good. I really like him and would like to see where things go from here. He was really great this weekend and very patient with Chloe when she was tired and grouchy. I think most guys would have run screaming.
I had a wonderful time and can't wait to spend more time with him. I will post pictures as soon as I have them.
