Thanksgiving Pics

Chloe and I went to Utah to have Thanksgiving with Brendan and Trina. It was a nice quiet Thanksgiving, and was good to just be with family. We took the girls bowling that night and they had a blast, and then they helped put up the Christmas tree when we got back.

Just Being Cute

Here's a photo of Chloe in her night shirt (mine) and her stockings (my socks). She is just funny sometimes. We are super excited to go to Utah next week for Thanksgiving. I am really grateful that right now Chloe and her cousin Anna are close enough to be together now and then, and that the LOVE spending time, with few fights or tantrums.

Oh yeah, and I now have a toddler fascinated with learning to tie shoes. This could be interesting.

The Chocolate ones....

Chloe likes M&Ms. Except the Chocolate ones.

I won't break her heart and tell her they are all chocolate. :)

Glacier National Park

This weekend I went up to Montana to visit Dave since Chloe was spending Halloween with her dad. Saturday morning we woke up early and went to Glacier National Park. It was supposed to be stormy that day, so the drive was very foggy. Foggy enough that we could only see a few feet in front of the truck. It was kind of fun.

After getting pulled over for a speeding ticket (neither of us had seen the speed change) we stopped in Kalispell, Mt and ate lunch at the Moosehead Tavern. It was pretty cool. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks (water for me, Dr Pepper, for Dave) and a pizza. The pizza was a very crispy thin crust with chopped toppings and cheese. Mmmmm. The bar has a good history and has saw dust all over the floor. They had a register from the 1800s (didn't seem to work properly, but it stored the money) and a lot of neat photographs and documents hanging on the walls from the early 19th century. There was even an invitation to someone's execution from 1878. You can carve your name on the walls (we had nothing to do it!).

After lunch we finished the drive to Glacier and by then the fog was clearing up pretty well. We stopped at a couple places to take photos, then hiked up to the gorge. The Gorge is the beautiful place where the melting Glacier runs into the river and it has carved out these neat areas. The water was pretty low because of the time of year, but it was still beautiful. Also the water is a beautiful turquoise until it meets up with the river.

Dave did some funny climbing around to try and get a good shot, so I joined him. I am sure to the other patrons we looked pretty dumb, because at any moment we could have fallen into the icy water! Oh well that is what made it fun.
After driving home we curled up in Dave's recliners and watched a movie called Tristan and Isolade. Really Good!

Then on Sunday we went to Dave's ward. People that had not met him yet assumed I was his wife. lol Of course it was even worse because his friend Sarah had invited herself up the weekend before and people that she was his wife. He politely explained that Sarah was his friend and that he and I were dating. I felt bad that he was put on the spot a little.

I drove home Sunday night through some nasty rain and wind, but arrived safely. I am picking Chloe up today! Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Ps. The picture above we did not take, I will try and get some up when Dave has the time to email them to me!
