State Fair

It is really difficult to get photos when it's just you and the 2 year old at the fair, but I did my best. Here ya go!

And yes I do realize that Chloe is not in focus half the time, but since I was holding the camera away from my body without having any clue what I was shooting, this is as good as it gets! :P

The things she says

So Chloe is just a ball full of fun most days. When visiting our family last weekend (See pics below) she had fun playing with cousin Anna. They were playing on the outside porch in Anna's cardboard house, when Chloe said "That will be eighty-dollars". hehe! I guess she and Anna were shopping. It just got funnier because Chloe would stick to eighty dollars, while sweet little Anna would offer stuff for $5. It was fun. She also really got a kick out of baby Ellery, and wants to go see her again.

Then last night Chloe wasn't feeling so hot, (high fever, runny nose, pulling her ear) so I took her to the Children's Clinic. Well of course she perked right up because they have these great climbing toys. While she was playing on them she pulled one of the chairs over, put it on top and shouted "I do declare that I am the Queen" HAHAHA! I was laughing so hard. I asked her where she learned how to say that and she just said "I don't know mom, I just do declare!" She must be watching some old Southern movies or something.

She's just a ball full of fun. Her favorite new thing right now is play-doh. whoopee! So Santa may be filling her stocking this year with fun stuff for playing play-doh. She is also still very much a painter, and people can expect hand-painted gifts this year. It is crazy to think that she is 3 1/2 months away from turning 3 years old!

love you all!

oh yeah and her favorite song to sing right now (or rather have me sing) is The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly....she calls it Grandpa's song. She remembers when we went to visit him and he sang the song.

Haircut

I got my haircut in a bob today. By accident. I thought my co-worker was going to cut off an inch maybe 2. Nope he cut off 6. I had to pay $18 for someone to fix it. Here's a pic.

Osmonds!

So I totally met The Osmond Family this morning! I went to Utah with my friends to go to their final performance from their 50th reunion tour at the Conference Center in SLC. We had decent seats, sitting in the Terrace and off to the right. It was a really great concert, they combined with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and it was beautiful. They were there commemorating the Pioneer Day Celebration (a Utah holiday).

Well the next morning (today) the Osmonds were going to be performing for Music and the Spoken Word. My friend Lisa and her hubby Joel are who I went with and her dad is head of productions so he is there early every Sunday morning. Well we went to go meet up with him because we had Joel and Lisa's little boy Cole with us and babies aren't allowed in during the taping because if they make any noise the mics pick it up. So we were escorted by an usher to the front of the conference center, and Ed (Lisa's dad) grabbed Cole and said "follow me". So we followed him and next thing we knew he led us backstage and behind this little black curtain and there were Merrill, and Alan waiting in the wings. (Alan was in his scooter because of the MS.) Then around the next corner we went into an enclosed area and there were Jimmy, Wayne and Jay! They were super nice! Jimmy especially. After we were introduced and visited for just a few moments (show time was only like 10 minutes away) we were led around the next corner to meet Marie! She is gorgeous! She played with Cole for a couple seconds and then we got to meet her. But alas Donny wasn't there at the moment to meet him! :(
So Ed took Cole and headed to the control room, and we were ushered back out front, we walked on stage, everyone was standing because at that same moment Presidents Monson and Eyring were being led in. So we were quickly seated about 2 minutes before showtime about 6 chairs away from President Monson!

It was so much fun! The concert was great, and of course I didn't have my camera. I took a couple on my phone, but there wouldn't have been enough time for pictures back stage anyway.

Thank you Joel and Lisa for a great weekend!

Playing with the design

If any of you have checked my blog in the last couple of days you will notice that the colors and style keeps changing. I am just experimenting with different things to see what I like and spruce it up a bit. Tell me what you think! Especially if you have any trouble reading it! lol
